Nice network

Peter: "We have been coming to the north of Costa Blanca for thirty years; we always went there on vacation. Both of us have in common that we find it such a beautiful area. Eventually Henk even went to live there." Henk: "In 2000 I bought a house there to spend the vacations. Life is so good there that in 2014 my wife and I decided to live there permanently. Only I wanted to have something to do there. It has always been in my head to do something in real estate, I knew quite a few people there by now... That gave us the idea to guide compatriots in buying and selling a property in Costa Blanca North under the name VossenCasas. Initially we approached partners ourselves to establish a cooperation. But soon we were asked by real estate agencies there if we wanted to represent them. Why: because we are on the fairs in the Netherlands and Belgium and were perceived as reliable partners. Gradually the demand for newly built houses also arose, so we also made contact with a number of construction companies. We only work with partners with whom we have a good feeling - no cowboy situations. When we sell a house, we don't want any trouble. Our customers should be happy and have no worries because of distance or culture." Peter: "This is how we have built a nice network of reliable partners, which has resulted in a portfolio of more than a thousand homes in our service area. With prices between two tons and ten million, we attract a wide audience. And we speak the language of all those people."

Florida of Europe

Peter: "What is so special about Costa Blanca North: because it protrudes a bit into the sea, the area has a microclimate. In winter it doesn't get too cold, at least 13 to 14 degrees, and in summer it doesn't get too hot. They call it the "Florida of Europe. Other pros: Costa Blanca North has lots of greenery, a varied landscape - mountains, cliffs, beaches, coves, valleys, authentic towns - and is second on the WHO list of best air quality. It's pleasant, it's beautiful, it's healthy, and you can do all kinds of things: hiking, biking, water sports, sniffing culture, good food and drink... It's a concentration of super things all together. And you see virtually no high-rise buildings in that region; there are no busloads of tourists. It's a different world than fifty kilometers away in Benidorm. You don't run into drunk Englishmen there, it's all a bit more chic." Henk: "Moreover, real estate prices in Costa Blanca North are more favorable than, for example, in Málaga and Marbella. And if you go a little further inland, the prices get even lower. In addition: suppose you have five tons free, you pay 1.2 percent wealth tax on that here, or 6,000 euros annually. If you buy a house in Spain for that five tons, you will pay about 500 euros wealth tax on it. And double taxation is not allowed, so you save 5,500 euros a year anyway."

Dream House

Henk: "We guide interested parties from A to Z. We start with an intake interview: what are the wishes and what is the budget? People often want sea or valley views and 'privacy' is also high on many a list. Then we look at which villas could be a match, make a pre-selection and organize the viewings. With our VossenCasas team and colleagues, we then go and view the houses. If the dream house is among them, we take care of the entire sales process and everything that comes with it. The moment a sale has taken place, we introduce a lawyer: he has insight into the government and the notary, can check whether everything is correct and the permit is granted. If you are going to live in Spain, you must have a bank there. We recommend one in Denia, whose director is a Dutchman. There we drop the client off on the doorstep, so to speak. We also arrange a mover, gardener, contractor, handyman, interior designer, you name it." Peter: "Because we don't have large offices or targets to meet, we are not pushed to push people into anything. We are close to our clients and enjoy helping them and sharing our passion with them. We keep in touch with them, are often asked for drinks or barbecue." Henk: "At MASTERS EXPO we show, among other things, unique villas - one-offs by an architect - in a price range around a million. But in the Costa del Sol they would cost double that. As fewer and fewer plots are available, prices in Costa Blanca North will inevitably go up as well. We would therefore advise fair visitors to visit our stand in particular to find out about all the advantages of a second home in Costa Blanca North."
