Image: Krisztina HorvathThe Dutch native of Hungary and former ballerina, lawyer and photographer enjoys the physical engagement and creative freedom that abstract painting offers her. Moreover, her art is an important source for communicating her views and ideas to the viewer. Especially on her main theme: the impact of man on his natural environment. For the viewer, the titles underscore this common thread in her work. An important source of inspiration for Horvath is Eastern and Zen art, including the Japanese Gutai movement. Consequently, her canvases often exude an elegant oriental aesthetic that is highly sought after by art collectors at home and abroad. Krisztina donates to charities that protect nature. Of every work sold, she currently donates 10 percent to the World Land Trust (WLT), an institution that buys up rainforests for protection. View her beautiful works here.
