1. Piazza San Carlo

Piazza San Carlo is the ideal place to take in the image of a typical Italian city. Since its construction in the seventeenth century, this has been a popular meeting place for locals and one of the most famous piazzas in Turin; the ideal place to stroll around and enjoy an espresso in one of the many cozy cafes. The square still hosts major public events; should you be a Juventus fan right now, this is the place to be to watch a soccer match. The piazza is also home to the twin churches of San Carlo and Santa Cristina. Noteworthy is the imposing facade with the ornate statues of various saints.

2. Lève Ristorante

Lève brings Mediterranean cuisine to the heart of Turin. With a careful selection of raw materials and a full range of unique dishes, wines, spirits and even cocktails, this restaurant offers an outstanding place to enjoy a delicious dinner. The brand new lounge bar has a very tasteful decor inspired by an eighteenth-century villa. You can go there for both lunch, aperitifs and dinner.

You will find stores and restaurants, arranged in themes such as meat, fish, beverages or fruits and vegetables, useful not to get lost... The concept is based on the Slow Food principles; a movement that opposes the industrial production of food and is committed to healthy and honest eating of tasty food produced in a sustainable way. You can not only shop here, but also taste. From tasty antipasti to a delicious Italian ice cream. Eataly has two branches; a large one in Lingotto, as well as a smaller store.

4. Monumento Il Grande Torino

Il Grande Torino was the iconic Italian soccer team of the Torino Football Club in 1940, the team is considered one of the best Italian teams ever. Between 1942 and 1949, they became champions of Italy five times. In addition, the players were the backbone of the Italian national team. During the so-called Superga air disaster on May 4, 1949, all occupants died, including almost the entire team of the soccer club. The plane crashed through dense fog on its way back home after a game against Benfica. Nearly a million people were on hand in Turin when their heroes were buried a few days later. For anyone wishing to pay tribute to Il Grande Torino, a memorial plaque has been placed at the site of the accident at the Basilica of Superga.

5. La Reggia di Venaria Reale

This residence is the most famous residence of the Savoia family and is also called the Versailles of Italy. Here the royal family could enjoy a weekend outdoors in peace. The palace was designed and built in 1675 by Amedeo di Castellamonte, commissioned by Duke Charles Emmanuel II , who needed a base for his hunting expeditions. Each room is equally beautiful, but be sure to take a look at the stables where magnificent carriages are displayed....
