In the center you will find street art, interesting museums and lots of greenery. It is not without reason that Glasgow means 'beloved, green place' in Gaelic. In addition, you can easily travel from the city to the beautiful Scottish Highlands. In short: put this destination on your bucket list and travel as soon as possible with the direct KLM flight to Glasgow!

Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel

“Founded in 1823, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel is within walking distance of the shopping streets and offers the perfect stay for a visit to Glasgow. Not only the outside is beautiful, the rooms are too. They are very luxurious and offer all facilities for a fully catered stay.”

Malmaison Glasgow

“What makes this boutique hotel unique is that it is a converted Greek church from 1806 and can therefore boast a rich historical past. There are three types of rooms in various price ranges – something for everyone. You can enjoy an extensive breakfast and dinner every day in the associated restaurant. Its central location makes it an ideal place to explore the city. Shopping opportunities, art galleries, restaurants and theaters are all just around the corner.”

Voco Grand Centra

“You've come to the right place for a romantic experience. The appearance of the hotel is somewhat reminiscent of a castle. In the small breakfast room you can enjoy a delicious home-made breakfast in the morning. The location is ideal for a city trip: a five-minute walk from Buchanan Street, for a day of shopping.”

Hunterian Museum

“A must during your visit to Glasgow. Here you will find one of the most beautiful and leading university collections in the world. Scholars and visitors from all corners of the earth come to the Hunterian Museum to learn more about geology, ethnography, ancient Egypt and scientific instruments, among other things. But even as a layman in these subjects, the museum is very impressive. You can end your visit well with a walk through the sculpture garden.”

King Tut's Wah Wah Hut

“What not many people know is that Glasgow is a UNESCO City of Music. Many well-known bands have their roots here, including Simple Minds. To really experience the music world of this city, it is recommended to visit one of the stages or music cafés. For the real rock 'n' roll experience, head to King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. This small stage may only have room for three hundred people, but the musicians who come there are great.”

The Corinthian Club

“Classic and elegant, yet modern. The Corinthian Club amazes with a different impressive interior on each of the five floors. Not only the appearance of the club is impressive, the cocktails, beers and wines on the drinks menu have also been carefully selected. For example, Blueberry and Basil Martini, Lavender Champagne and the excellent Italian wine Trebbiano Arche are on the menu. Before you go to the bar you can have a bite to eat in the club. And believe me: in such a stylish restaurant it is an unforgettable experience.”

“If you are as much of a gin and tonic lover as I am, you will definitely appreciate this tip. Gin71 is the first real gin bar in Glasgow. On the menu you can choose from the most unique and unusual gins, home-brewed tonics and professionally prepared cocktails. It is not without reason that it is a bar specialized in gin and that is why you can get this drink exactly as you want: a gin on the rocks, as a mixed tall drink or as a martini. You can also be surprised by the Gin of the Week.”

“This colorful bar immediately puts a smile on your face: you are immersed in the color pink – pink flowers, pink cocktails, pink menus. The aesthetics of this bar are real we point. October is known for the perfect Frozen Pornstar Martini, but you can also go there for a delicious G&T or Aperol Spritz. Need something to eat before your evening out? Then you've come to the right place. For example, order a flatbread, salad or homemade gnocchi.”
