Mercedes-Benz shows new bolide

The new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe provides the exciting feeling of driving a unique sports car as soon as you get in. The materials, colors and design are combined into pure inspiration with typical AMG DNA that impresses with sportiness and exclusivity. At MASTERS EXPO, visitors could experience it for themselves at the Mercedes-Benz booth.

The second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe represents Mercedes-AMG's latest flagship, with the model offering an outstanding combination of highly dynamic handling and enhanced everyday usability. Equipped with advanced components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL chassis with active roll stabilization, standard rear axle steering and active aerodynamics, the driving experience is sharpened even further.

This sporty coupe uses the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ to transfer its power to the road for the first time, in conjunction with the powerful 4.0-liter AMG V8 biturbo engine, which it says results in a top-class driving experience.

The exclusive AMG sports car architecture with the composite aluminum body structure allows a configuration as a 2+2-seater, allowing passengers in this class to enjoy a feeling of space and ample luggage space. As the fifth model developed in-house, following the SLS, the first generation of the two-door GT, the GT 4-Door Coupe and the SL, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe once again demonstrates the impressive technological competence of the development team in Affalterbach.

According to Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Executive Board Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Head of Mercedes-Benz G-Class & Mercedes-Maybach Divisions, "The new AMG GT Coupe combines remarkably dynamic handling and distinctive sportiness with a high level of everyday comfort. As our latest flagship, the GT is not only AMG's latest 'brand shaper' but also a clear commitment to the sports car 'made in Affalterbach'. With the new dimensional concept and the option of 2+2 seats, we are responding directly to the wishes of our customers."
