The campaign image of 2021

Top photographer Rahi Rezvani shot the 2021 campaign image for MASTERS together with dancers from the Nederlands Dans Theater. A year in which MASTERS did not look back, but to the future: moving forward. From November 17 to 22, RAI Amsterdam will open its doors for MASTERS EXPO – The Forward Edition. Photo: Rahi Rezvani

Family matters

Historic victory

Also new is Masters of Sport: for the first episode, sports journalist Jaap de Groot visits tennis icon Richard Krajicek 25 years after his historic victory at Wimbledon. Photo: John van Helvert

Get to work

In the same year, 1996, Marcel Wanders made his definitive breakthrough Knotted Chair. “I come from a culture where everything always had to be changed. Modernism was the prevalent way to go, the past was irrelevant. I was ready to change the world and screw everything up,” he says in a candid interview.

Even more entrepreneurs have their say. Margo Reuten from restaurant Da Vinci explains how she deals with setbacks. “I am now even more combative, the lioness comes out in me: get to work!“As a novice entrepreneur, Merel van Helsdingen was immediately thrown into the deep end: she opened her Nxt Museum during corona times.

Rico Verhoeven

And Rico Verhoeven launched a vacancy platform to help people who have lost their jobs due to the crisis. Each and every one of them is an entrepreneur whose glass is half full. That positive radiates from The Forward Edition of MASTERS. Don't miss it!Photo: Karoly Effenberger
