MASTERY, CREATIVITY & SUSTAINABILITY

Mastery is the first word of Alphenberg's payoff. And it's not for nothing. They see leather processing as a pure craft, a profession where history and craftsmanship are closely linked to the present but especially to the future. Mastery is rightly the correct term for what they do in the field of leather processing in the world of high-end interior design.

All natural

Of course, it all starts with a 100% natural product: skin. The entire processing process from hide to leather is based on biodegradable substances. Every process for processing the hides is done under our watchful eye. The leather is "made" by ourselves. Think of pre-processing, color, finishing the top layer and cutting to the right size. This allows us to accentuate the natural characteristics and color nuances. And that, in turn, allows each piece of leather to show its individual character. Because if we can use the word unique anywhere, it applies to leather. A natural product of which literally not one piece is the same. Sustainable too, because although that sounds a little inferior, leather is actually a residual product. Our expertise transforms 'inferior' into 'high quality'. Pure mastery based on expertise and sustainability!

Cradle of unprecedented opportunities

The workshop and assembly hall are literally the cradle of unprecedented possibilities for Alphenberg. Since moving into the building in Waalwijk, we have had access to a great workshop of our own. It is located on the top floor of our totally renovated 18th-century building in 2019. Overlooking the rooftops of Waalwijk, you enjoy the beautiful light there. It is a breeding ground for innovation. Here and in our assembly hall right next to our showroom, creativity is born and the process grows from researching possibilities, whether or not together with designers or architects, to extraordinary applications with leather in the interior. Besides the usual assembly and preparation, research and experiments take place, with braiding, decorative stitching, mosaics, handles, patterns, reliefs and die cuts. It's just a sampling of what goes on there. It is scrutinized and transformed out-of-the-box into a design or an operation with sometimes quite surprising results.

Mastery in editing

That leather is a rich basis for your interior design is no longer something we need to explain, nor do the quality and exclusivity of our products. But what we are very proud of is the high quality of the team we work with. The people who actually bring the leather to life in your interior. Whether it's a small wall in a toilet or an ingenious design. It only comes into its own when it is placed perfectly. And when a designer comes up with a design, or questions about possibilities and opportunities, whether it's about color, material or the way it should be processed, our installation team thinks with you, responds to questions and always comes up with a solution-oriented proposal that is achievable. The best moment when we like to step in is in the early stages of a project. As soon as the client starts thinking about floors and walls, because those are simply the most important supports for an interior. If those are right, then you have a perfect foundation from which to proceed.
