Auction gem: a piece of F1 racing history

A special piece of Formula 1 history will soon be offered for sale. Michael Schumacher's racing car with which he achieved a total of one victory and two pole positions will disappear under the auction hammer next month.

It was the Ferrari F1-2000 with which Michael Schumacher transformed himself into an icon who would be forever linked to the Italian brand. While Schumacher had already won two championships with Benetton before joining Ferrari in 1996, his era of dominance began with the F1-2000. During the 2000 season, which consisted of a total of 17 races, Schumacher managed nine pole positions and securing nine victories behind the wheel of the model.

First driver's title 

Now you will soon be able to buy a special piece of Formula 1 history from this period. The specific example that will be under the hammer of Sotheby's has chassis number 198 and in 2000 it even gave the Ferrari team its first drivers' title since 1979. With the model, Schumacher also won the pole positions during the Grand Prix of Spain and Monaco. The lightning-fast single-seater is equipped with a V10 engine that delivers 770 hp. 

What the expected yield will be is as yet unknown, as this will only be shared upon request. A Ferrari F2003-GA in which the German driver won his sixth world title changed hands at the end of last year for € 14.6 million.
