The architects of ENZO architecture N interior were given carte blanche by the client for this penthouse. There were only two wishes: it had to radiate color and comfort and everything had to be large, but still attractive. MASTERS gets straight to the point and takes a look at this beautiful home.
That the penthouse is also a design of ENZOs hand, made it easier to fulfill the client's wishes down to the last detail...
A long corridor, where the bedrooms and bathrooms are located, leads to the high, open living space. The glass door DREAM, in which the contours of South Africa are incorporated, stands out. In the living room, colorful comfort is visible in the form of the spacious seating area around the high fireplace with a custom-made steel surround.
The robust coffee tables BALK from our own label KISS by ENZO go well with the very spacious Italian-made sofa. Furthermore, slender furniture such as the NOOT sideboard, GRAAN drinks cabinet and the RIET room divider provide the necessary airy counterbalance to the interior.
The client had a special wish for the kitchen: it had to have the atmosphere of a cozy brown café. That is why the architects chose dark oak, copper and natural stone as materials. For that reason they not only made a dining bar, but also a niche for a dining area around the STELT bar table. Due to the generous dimensions, a professional chef can also provide a delicious dinner here on festive occasions. All necessary equipment is located behind the sliding cabinet doors.
The top floor offers an open, bright guest room with kitchen and a large, sheltered sun terrace. There is also a wellness bathroom with a spacious freestanding bath, sauna and a large gym overlooking the living room downstairs.
Except for a few personal belongings, everything in this penthouse was designed and selected by ENZO; from the ZOEN furniture and the marble of the bathrooms to the bedding and crockery. Yet the architects managed to give the apartment a personal touch through color, open spaces and customization. The result is a relaxing home base in the client's hectic life.
