From the end of March to the beginning of May, the steep slope of the Jebel Akhdar Mountains turns from green to delicate pink tones. During this period the native Damascus rose is in bloom and you will find countless rose bushes in the terraced gardens on the 'green mountain', as Jebel Akhdar is often affectionately called.

Rose water has its origins in ancient Persia, where the distillation of roses began. About 750 milliliters of rose water is extracted from one kilo of flowers. The result, in addition to its role in many beauty rituals and culinary traditions, is a true heirloom and a living tribute to history. A fragrant connection to the past that lives on in the hearts of those who cherish it...
