Image: GASSANDebora: “Queen Máxima is an extremely stylish woman with good taste and we are proud that she is our queen. I really like this outfit that she wore during the Opening of the Holland Festival in 2019.”

Chantal: “This dress is beautiful. It is by Claes Iversen, who, together with Jan Taminiau, is one of Máxima's favorite fashion designers. Claes had made this dress for the catwalk and these rings were all over the dress. The dress has been adapted for Máxima, because as a queen she is not allowed to be dressed too sexy. That one ring is a nice touch and her appearance is beautiful.”Chantal: “The look that Máxima wore last year during Remembrance Day is my favorite. Dam Square was completely empty due to corona and it was dead quiet when King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima arrived. With that hat and flowing skirt she looked like a Spanish beauty. I thought it was so beautiful and impressive. WillemAlexander also looked very good, it was completely right.”

Debora: “They are a very nice couple.” Bart: “They looked like they stepped straight out of a movie.” Chantal: “I think this is a beautiful dress with the belt and sleeve that stick out just a little bit. It is from Natan, a Belgian fashion house that Máxima wears a lot. I think the hat is a bit big. She spoke to children during the opening and I think such a big hat creates some distance.”

Debora: “I think this is very beautiful and I also think these large earrings, the shells with pearls, are beautiful. She has worn these earrings before and I also like that she wears her jewelry more often about Máxima. This hairstyle suits her very well.”

Bart: “She often wears this lock with a bun at the bottom on King's Day. A good choice, as far as I'm concerned. It looks nice and stays in place, even when the wind blows. I find loose hair difficult, because if there is a lot of wind, the hairstyle blows open.”Chantal: “These high waist pants with wide legs and simple body are very different from what she normally wears, it is much less stately. You see that Máxima and her stylist look closely at fashion and I think Máxima has a lot of feeling for fashion and styling.”

Bart: “These photos were both taken by Erwin Olaf and yet very different. This is a classic, timeless photo, one that can always be used. It really is an image of today, with that wind in her hair. You just know this photo was shot in 2020 or 2021. I like that Máxima can show both of those. That was not the case with Princess Beatrix, the photos of her as monarch could be from any year.”
