'Now you're going to make me famous'

The book shares the intimate story of legend Marilyn Monroe and a young photographer who started his career. “You're already famous, now you're going to make me famous,” photographer Lawrence Schiller said to Marilyn in 1962. Schiller's photos and vivid stories bring you back to that time with humor and compassion at the same time. Featuring more than 100 photos, including rare outtakes from the set of Marilyn's final film, the result is an unexpected portrait capturing the star in her final months. She died in August 1962 at the age of 36.

Netflix movie Blonde

To get an even better insight into the icon's life, the Netflix film 'Blonde' was already ready. When it was recently announced that the film would not premiere at the Venice Film Festival, there was great surprise. It is now clear that Netflix finds the biography starring Ana de Armas as Marilyn too sexualized. The film contains, among other things, a rape scene.

Netflix wants the film to be overhauled, but director Andrew Dominik thinks differently and refuses to completely change the script. Andrew Dominik previously said that it will be one of the ten best films ever and, unlike his previous films, it contains little dialogue.

There is no specific release date for the film yet, in any case it is clear that we will have to wait until 2022 to see the blonde shine on the silver screen... Photo: Netflix
