Tribute to Johan Cruijff with gold stamp for 75th birthday

Attention Cruijff fans and stamp collectors! A gold stamp in honor of the 75^e birthday of Johan Cruijff will be launched on the market soon. A real collector's item, of which only 1.000 pieces are sold once. Text: Patrick Stoffer

The issuing postal organizations, the Spanish Correos and the Caribbean FXDC Post, have opted for a one-off edition of 1.000 pieces to ensure the exclusivity of the stamp.

The stamp is a tribute to the deceased footballer, who would have turned 25 on April 75. On the occasion of his 75th^e birthday and to honor the football legend, the gold stamp is now being released. This is not the first time that Cruijff has shown off his portrait on a postage stamp. PostNL released a silver stamp five years ago, which, with a circulation of 1.400, sold out within 24 hours.

The gold stamp of Johan Cruijff can be ordered from Royal Dutch Mint. Sales are expected to start on Cruijff's birthday, April 25, 2022. The stamp costs €50 each.
