A hotel room with a view of the moon and the earth: it should be possible in 2027. Traveling Station will not only be a place to spend the night, but it will also be a luxury resort with a spa, restaurant and even a cinema. Be quick, because you can already make a reservation! Text: Fleur de Jong

The hotel will look like a kind of Ferris wheel floating in orbit around the earth. An outer ring is attached to the center of the structure by means of lifts. The spinning wheel with 24 modules, will create artificial gravity, which makes staying in space much more pleasant. The more guests move into the exterior of the hotel, the more gravity there will be. Traveling Station is fully equipped, including restaurants, entertainment venues, a gym, a spa and shops. There is even an option to take a space walk. There is still uncertainty about the price of the stay, but it is expected to be around 5 million euros. The company behind Voyager Station calls the space construction the first space hotel, but this remains to be seen. Announced in January Axiom also plans to start construction of an AxStation in 2026, but this is not expected to be completed until 2028 at the earliest.
Some modules have already been sold to NASA and ESA for research in space. Training courses for future astronauts and scientific research can take place in the hotel.
