Most expensive LEGO sets

If you still have a box of LEGO in the attic, please wait a while before selling it at the next flea market. A number of sets can still yield quite a nice amount. Just take a look at the following list of precious plastic playing stones.

The 2015 edition of HC Andersen's Clumsy Hans takes the cake. The set was originally distributed to 80 LEGO ambassadors, most of whom decided to keep it. This is where the price tag comes from. One of the most iconic LEGO sets is the 10179 Millennium Falcon. An unopened copy previously changed hands for €5.000. The exclusive Ultimate Collectors Edition Millennium Falcon from 2007 consists of 5197 parts and - when assembled - is 84 centimeters long.

Piper Airplane

Only 4000012 copies of the 53 Piper Airplane were made. The sets were again given away in 2012 to participants of the LEGO Inside Tour. The set contains parts to build an airplane with an airport. It is estimated that an unopened Piper Airplane is worth €4.735.

Airport shuttle

Today, an unopened Airport Shuttle can fetch an estimated $4283. But then you have a rare set with a train that can actually move.

Antonios Pizza Rama
