We see it all the time: celebrities buying houses from other celebrities. Is it because of the similarity in taste or more because of the similarity of their budget? The most recent home to be sold was the Spanish Colonial home of Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita. For an amount of 5.8 million euros Leonardo DiCaprio call themselves the proud new owner of their home. MASTERS takes a look at the new home of this Titanic star. Text: Fleur de Jong

The house is in the neighborhood The Happy in Los Angeles. This quiet neighborhood is rich in history and a hip place where artists, musicians and actors settle before they make it big. If you live in Los Feliz, there is a good chance that you will just come across a celebrity in the supermarket. There are no tall buildings in the district that block out the sun. On the contrary, many charming houses can be found among the many trees. And so is Leonardo DiCaprio's new charming home. The house, consisting of 5000 square meters is described by many people as quirky and dates from 1928.The house has a history of famous owners, so bought Gwen Stefani the house in 1998 with her then-husband Gavin Rossdale. Behind the large gates and long driveway, a steep staircase leads you as a guest to the original, hand-carved front door. The house radiates a lot of warmth, including the massive stone fireplace in the large living room and the wooden ceiling. The adjacent dining room has a unique azure blue color on the walls and the ceiling is hand-painted. The azure blue color is also reflected in the two-storey library. With all the different seating areas you can spend hours here and lose yourself in a good book.
If you don't feel like reading a book, you can also choose to watch a movie in the family room. This can be transformed into a true home cinema. For example, there is a movie screen from the ceiling, a projector and electronic blackout curtains.
Always wanted to see where Leonardo DiCaprio sleeps? Most likely here. The master bedroom has a neutral and soothing appearance. The house has a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Outside there is an additional dining area where you can enjoy the Californian sun until the early hours.
