The world's first biodegradable summer decorations

Summer is almost here! How does the Netherlands ensure that the experience in city centers, shopping streets and shopping centers is not only more attractive but also more sustainable? Avontuur-BlachereNL has the solution for this. After introducing the world's first recycled Christmas decorations during MASTERS EXPO 2021, they are now introducing their new biodegradable summer decorations.

From sugar cane to sustainable summer decorations.

Since 2018, Avontuur-BlachèreNL's R&D department has been working on making its Christmas decorations more sustainable. With the help of more than 9 ultra-modern 3D printers, they introduced the first Bioprint Christmas decorations in the Netherlands three years ago.

But what is Bioprint? In Avontuur-BlachèreNL's French laboratory, GMO-free sugar cane is converted into plastic granules. The 3D printers use the granules to produce colorful, biodegradable and recyclable Bioprint decorations. And due to the endless possibilities of 3D printers, these decorations can be found in any form!

By also using recycled aluminum, Avontuur uses up to 80% less aluminum in producing its decorations. As a result, they emit up to 10x less CO2 during the production process of the decorations!

The quality of Adventure in a Summer guise

Where city centers and shopping centers previously often opted for fragile lanterns, flags and beach chairs, more and more places are opting for Bioprint decorations. Nearly 200 colorful Bioprint umbrellas will decorate the street scene in Designer Outlet Roosendaal this summer.

Due to the endless possibilities of 3D printers, the choice in summer decorations is numerous. From umbrellas to ice cream cones and from flowers to flamingos. Even creating personalized 2D decorations is possible. In short, everything is there to take the summer experience in the Netherlands to the next level. On all fronts!
