Amsterdam is one of the most favorite places to work in the world

A total of 600 cities were surveyed and 99.175 people interviewed by Intelligence Group. And guess what? Our Mokum is one of the most favorite cities to work in for the European workforce.

Amsterdam is therefore among the world's top cities as one of the most favorite cities to work in for the European workforce who actually want to work internationally. More than 2 million people, 6,48 percent to be precise, of the internationally mobile European workforce mention Amsterdam as one of their preferred cities to work in. This puts the city in ninth place worldwide. Rotterdam and The Hague, on the other hand, were slightly less popular; Rotterdam finished in place 79 and The Hague in place 90. 

The most favorite place 

For those surveyed, London is by far the most favorite city, followed by New York and Paris. The research shows that 40 percent of the group that wants to work in Amsterdam is younger than 35 years old; The city is especially popular among young people. The groups that express their preference are mainly active in 'administration,financial'And'IT'. Groups that are less likely to choose Amsterdam work as nurses, veterinarians or have an executive/management position. The same research by Intelligence Group shows that employees from Poland, Greece and Slovenia have an average preference for Amsterdam, while this is less than average among Latvians, French and Swedes.  Dutch people who want to live and work abroad also prefer London, Barcelona and New York.
