Never before in the rich history of Restaurant M* at MASTERS EXPO in December, host, co-founder and culinary curator Carsten Klint has collected so many Michelin stars, a record number. Reserved and can't wait? Before then, he would like to highlight a number of other very tasty destinations.

SINCK

Vibrant, accessible and creative. Three gastronomic musketeers with experience in various top businesses in the Netherlands, together opened restaurant Sinck on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. Bistro-style dishes with straightforward flavors on your plate, which have been carefully composed by chef Sander Bierenbroodspot. Downstairs, where you enter, a wine bar where Sabas Joosten's love is immediately expressed. Price-quality is more than fine and there are many top wines and surprises on the wine list with more than 400 (!) items. Timo van der Stad and his team ensure that there is a relaxed atmosphere, with warm and professional service for guests. In addition to the menu, you can order additional surprising dishes every day and special bottles are also available that are not on the wine list. The fact that many colleagues from the profession come to enjoy it says a lot about the quality and atmosphere of this great restaurant.

CEO boss of the meat

Top chef Mario Ridder opened his meat restaurant ten years ago in Katendrecht in Rotterdam. CEO, that stands for Côte de Boeuf, Esirloin and Ossenhaas, is un-Dutch and reminiscent of the famous Peter Luger in New York when it comes to the quality and preparation of the meat served. Mario (also owner of star restaurant Joelia's in the Rotterdam Hilton) wanted to start an accessible restaurant without bells and whistles, but with absolute top quality. And he has more than succeeded in that. You just wonder why there is only one branch left. Because quality and perfect preparation are paramount here. The restaurant has an industrial design, but with atmosphere. Beautiful tables covered with white linen and authentic French bistro chairs. Not unimportant: the dishes on the menu are surprisingly affordable. A real Rotterdam business with no-nonsense.

Central Park Voorburg *

Top chef Henk Savelberg sold his restaurant and hotel of the same name in 2014 and Ron Blaauw's formula was successfully introduced in the stately building. Four years later, the Gastrobar concept was said goodbye to and Central Park Voorburg stood on its own two feet, with a clear culinary ambition. The interior was changed, chandeliers were replaced and linen was put on the table again. Kitchen and reception were tackled and recently all fourteen hotel rooms, with Hästens beds, were also thoroughly renovated. Membership at the renowned Relais & Châteaux, known among travelers for culinary international hotspots, was also reactivated. With his passion and knowledge, co-owner Joey de Kruijf has rebuilt and supplemented the wine cellar with international allure (and award-winning): big household names and beautiful affordable finds. Dishes from the kitchen of chefs Tim Bood and Hette Hettema have grown to a level in recent years that has not gone unnoticed by Michelin: this year the coveted star was awarded.

MASTERS MAGAZINE #55

This article is from MASTERS Magazine. The magical autumn edition of MASTERS Magazine is now available. Artificial intelligence has now become an indispensable part of our lives. But, is this development something to celebrate or fear? Will Terminators take over or will friendly robots make our earthly existence even more comfortable? In this edition, AI is examined. According to philosopher Rowan Williams, it is important to remember that whatever AI does, it always imitates. And that we as humans distinguish ourselves through ingenuity. A good example is real estate entrepreneur André Snippe, who is developing an ultra-modern city district in Hoofddorp. Or nautical designer Jurjen Eerkens, who has developed a groundbreaking boat with his Hytender that is leading the way in making the yacht industry more sustainable. These and more resourceful entrepreneurs grace the pages of this edition. Which also looks ahead to MASTERS EXPO | The MAGICAL Edition, our exclusive business fair also born from ingenuity.
