The undisputed number 1 of the Quote 500 has been the frontwoman of beer brand Heineken for many years: Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken. She has been at the helm of this list for years, but Charlene is not the only woman who has taken a place on the prominent entrepreneur list. Mabel Wisse Smit

When her husband Prince Friso died, Mabel received a small interest in Adyen, a Dutch woman payment service provider. The company has now grown enormously and so have these shares, giving her a reasonable interest in the company. She is also an economist, political scientist and, above all, a human rights activist

Yvonne Swaans

A real self-made woman on the list. Together with her husband she founded the investment company Qmulus. They amassed their wealth with the company Direct Wonen, which is now succeeded by Qmulus. Marianne Mignot

Marianne made her comeback this year, because heirs bought out the company. Mignot is the frontwoman of rolling paper manufacturer Mascotte.
