Big Green Egg's golden anniversary should of course not go unnoticed. Drum roll and trumpet blast, because especially for this occasion the brand presents 'Evergreens from around Europe'. A masterpiece that caresses the taste buds and ears…
After two years of preparation, love, passion, and a good dose of fun, Big Green Egg proudly presents Evergreens from around Europe. A combination of recipes and music. The exclusive Golden Edition contains a recipe book, a music book and three LPs in gold, bundled in a specially designed seventies record case.
The Limited Edition will be released in 1974 copies, yes, the year that the brand behind the iconic green egg was founded in America. Each copy is uniquely numbered and features a striking brass plate on the front, so you know you have a valuable piece of history in your hands.
The recipe book contains more than sixty dishes. Each dish is accompanied by a story that brings the country's culinary traditions to life, and yes, Executive Chef Michèl Lambermon has upgraded the recipes and adapted them so that they can of course be prepared on the Big Green Egg.
Music in a new guise
The three LPs full of musical gems from Europe have been selected by Leo Blokhuis. He has chosen unusual Evergreens, but songs with a strong soul. Perfect for an evening full of good food and good company. All songs have been re-produced and sung. On the albums you can hear the music of artists such as Ellen ten Damme and concert pianist Iris Hond and drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk.
And as icing on the cake, you get a book with stories behind each song, original album covers, and an exclusive photo of Cesar Zuiderwijk, shot and signed by none other than photographer Patricia Steur.
The collector's item will be available from May 16. Curious? Visit the Big Green Egg website here.
