Pride and Prejudice

This 2005 version is the most recent film adaptation of Jane Austen's literary classic, starring Keira Knightley. In late eighteenth-century England, the five Bennet sisters, including the determined Elizabeth, played by Keira Knightley, are raised by their mother with a single goal in mind: find and marry a suitable man. When a wealthy bachelor moves into a nearby estate, the sisters are in shock.

The fabulous destiny of Amelie Poulain

The soundtrack probably sounds familiar to you, as the piano piece became immensely popular after the film. Amélie Poulain lives in the heart of Paris. She works in a cafe and has a nice apartment. The only thing that stands in the way of her happiness is loneliness. However, when the young woman meets one Nino, her life takes a new, exciting turn. The French rom-com gives a romanticized portrayal of life in Montmartre in Paris and was internationally awarded four Césars.

The Notebook 

If you really want to spend an evening swooning in the arms of your lover, this classic is perfect. The plot unfolds largely through flashbacks. Allie Hamilton comes to the town of Seabrook in North Carolina in the early 40s to spend a holiday with her family. There she meets Noah Calhoun who falls in love with her from the first moment. Despite their very different backgrounds, the two experience a summer full of passion and passion. But when Allie moves away and Noah enlists in the army, the romance past. But in the end it turns out that love conquers all.

PS I Love You

When Gerry dies, his wife Holly's life is turned upside down. Despite her friends' best efforts to cheer her up, Holly locks herself in her apartment all alone. Another film where love letters are central. In the very sweete Letters To Juliet protagonist Sophie goes on holiday to Verona. There she finds an unanswered letter to an unrequited love. Sophie comes into contact with the English Claire, who had to let her lover go as a 15-year-old. She agrees to look for that lost love.
