Imagine such a summer evening; friends and family gather in the garden, the wine and beer are cold and the Big Green Egg is smoking. Plumes of smoke as inspiration

Thanks to Big Green Egg, outdoor cooking has been taken to a new level. Made from only the best ceramics, the Big Green Egg has been an extremely popular kamado since 1974. Enjoy fresh ingredients and different, exciting preparations with friends and family. This spring, shoe brand Van Bommel is launching a women's and men's sneaker that fits this perfect Big Green Egg moment. Director Floris van bommel says that this time they have tackled the shoe design thematically. During the research, they noticed the cheerfully curling plumes of smoke above the Big Green Eggs. The smoke plumes formed the starting point for the design. 

Ultimately, the shoe became a mix of materials in which carbon black suede was mixed with high tech mesh on the forefoot, glossy black nylon on the lateral and ash-like rubber on the heel. A subtle white line of smoke also snakes along the heel. A surprising element is the color of glowing embers on the bottom of the sole. Of course, the characteristic look of the Big Green Egg itself cannot be missed in the design. The green dented ceramic material is incorporated into the rubber of the stabilizer at the back of the heel.

Not just a sneaker

In addition to the limited edition sneaker, there will also be a 'Floris van Bommel for Green Egg' leather one BBQ apron results from the collaboration. Collaborations are no stranger to Floris van Bommel, he says this keeps himself and his team on their toes. Over the years, the director has been able to work with a colorful group of companies and people. The similarities that Floris looks for are quality, craftsmanship and craftsmanship.
