Tom Cruise sets sail: multi-million dollar superyacht under construction

Hollywood legend Tom Cruise has landed another leading role, this time not on the silver screen, but on the rough seas. The actor has ordered a brand new superyacht from a Finnish shipyard, and that obviously doesn't go unnoticed.

After making the airspace unsafe in Top Gun and having tested the asphalt as a NASCAR driver, Cruise is now heading out to sea. Rumors of Cruise's interest in a Swan yacht have been circulating in the maritime world for months, but his recent visit to the shipyard seems to have confirmed it. During a promotional tour in Finland, the 62-year-old actor made a small detour to the Nautor Swan shipyard, where he personally took a look at his latest acquisition. 

With a length of 33 meters, a hull made of carbon and an impressive beach club on board, this sailing yacht meets all the expectations you would have when purchasing this order. The interior exudes peace and refinement: light in character, rich in luxury and equipped with every conceivable comfort. Think of four spacious bedrooms, eight toilets, a full-fledged cinema and an elegantly designed bar, of course with an eye for detail and finishing at the highest level.

Price tag

A yacht of this caliber naturally comes with a corresponding price tag: around 21 million dollars. Still, for a man with an estimated net worth of 700 million dollars, that is no obstacle. Cruise is known for not shying away from investing in style and comfort. From luxury watches to exclusive real estate: his preference for the better life has been visible for years. This maritime expansion of his portfolio fits effortlessly into his lifestyle.

When the yacht will finally be delivered is not yet clear. The construction of a Maxi Swan usually takes three to four years.
