As a teenager, he collected perfumes and sought out the most unique creations, gradually learning everything about fragrances and deciding to use all his knowledge to create the perfect scent. That dream has now come true. Text: Larissa Schaule Jullens

Scent Guy

Bogdan Vlad's story is one of creativity, passion, risk-taking and diving in at the deep end. Above all, it is a story of self-expression and the desire to create something unique that would have lasting impact on the world: a footprint of fragrances. Since his sixteenth year, Bogdan has been passionate about fragrances and fashion. "I would have given anything for a distinctive scent, and I did everything to surround myself with the best quality, even though the collector's perfumes market was very small at that time. Back then, it was not about the design of the bottles, however luxurious they sometimes looked, I always let myself be guided by the fragrance notes, which drove me to continue my quest for rare perfumes."

His knowledge grew and soon he became known as the Scent Guy. His passion became an obsession and he wanted only one thing: to create his own fragrance. It started with making the first sketches of the product through to the first produced batch. Spain, France, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, South Africa, Japan: everywhere people came into contact with the perfume. That journey ultimately led to the current fragrances of Testament Collection, known as The Icons.
