Louis Vuitton honours late fashion designer Virgil Abloh with Paris exhibition

Louis Vuitton presents the Coming of Age exhibition in Paris as a tribute to the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh.

In memory and tribute to the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh proudly supplies Louis Vuitton the exhibition Coming of age in Paris. Virgil was artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's line and founder of Off-White.  

In 2019, Virgil Abloh curated a group exhibition titled “Coming of Age” in Los Angeles, California. Presented in collaboration with Little Big Man Gallery, the focus of this exhibition was on the complexity of the transition from childhood to adulthood. Youth was a great source of inspiration for Abloh, at the same time he wanted his work to inspire them. So the exhibition started in Los Angeles and then traveled to Paris, Beijing, Milan, New York, Munich, Tokyo and Seoul. This collective project allowed creative talents to collaborate and create their own work based on this exhibition. 

The current exhibition in Paris has brought together all these works and is a reinterpretation of the earlier version and packed with activities for visitors. The visitors who will therefore serve as participants in the exhibition serve as an illustration of Virgil Abloh's mission to democratize Louis Vuitton. 

Louis Vuitton Foundation

De Louis Vuitton Foundation i.e. the Fondation d'entreprise Louis Vuitton is a private museum in Paris which is exclusively dedicated to contemporary art and artists. The museum opened in October 2014. They want to appeal to the widest possible audience with the exhibitions they organize. The building in which the Fondation was designed by the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. Since its opening, the museum has welcomed more than seven million visitors.
