Image: TAG HeuerOn the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the watch house, TAG Heuer presents an expansion of the Carrera collection. It is an elegant chronograph with a design reminiscent of historic models with the addition of a touch of modern flair. The four new chronographs have a refined and modern look, inspired by the pure lines of the original TAG Heuer Carrera. Because the slim steel bezel does not have a tachymeter scale, it creates a refined and clear appearance that is in line with the unforgettable Heuer Carrera with silver dial that debuted in 1963. Just like the original, the new Carreras have two pushers to operate the chronograph and two subdials on the dial.
The new Carreras are available with dials in black, blue with sunburst motif, anthracite gray and silver. In addition, the subdials at 3 and 9 o'clock always have a hypnotic effect.

The small seconds are placed at 6 o'clock above a discreet and practical date display. The beating heart of this timeless TAG Heuer Carrera is the brand's patented automatic movement, Caliber Heuer 02. The models with black and blue dials are presented on a sleek integrated steel bracelet. The corners of the outer and inner links are rounded for a smoother appearance and the strap is thinner than usual for greater comfort. The two-tone version with a silver-colored dial and rose gold hands and the model with a deep anthracite gray dial are combined with a luxurious brown alligator leather strap. The screwed sapphire case back offers a view of the innovative movement and rose gold-colored rotor.

The new Carreras with the Caliber Heuer 02 movement show their avant-garde, automatic movement through the transparent back of the case. The automatic caliber Heuer 02 is built in our own factory in Chevenez, Switzerland.

A history of unmistakable elegance
Caliber Heuer 02 consists of 168 components, including a column wheel and a vertical clutch - the hallmarks of a top chronograph with an in-house movement - and has an impressive power reserve of 80 hours.
The fact that former TAG Heuer CEO Jack Heuer had a deep love for industrial design determines the appearance of the Carrera. Jack Heuer introduced the chronograph he designed in 1963 and named the watch after a famous car race through Mexico. With the new, reinterpreted models, the elegant details that Jack Heuer introduced decades ago are once again brought into the spotlight. The clear three-dimensionality of the original dial with its three subdials made it possible to read the chronograph at a glance. The Carrera was a groundbreaking design at the time that is now being given new impetus.
