SUMMER CLOSING SOIRÉE

The last sunny summer day of this year was celebrated with the annual Summer Closing Soirée at Grand Beach Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, in the presence of VIPs and other prominent guests.

Organized by: Dutch Global MediaMany Dutch people spent the summer in their own country and for that reason the hotel decided to bring the holiday feeling to the city center of Amsterdam. A sandy beach was created in the historic courtyard and transformed into a luxurious beach club as you find in St. Tropez. The menu included fresh lobster, sirloin steak, oysters and other delicacies. Accompanied with rosé from Provence, champagne and wines.

To end the summer there was a real one closing soiree organized. French singer Julie Huard kicked off the evening and made all guests long for the city of love: Paris. Jill Helena – known for The Voice of Holland created a party and made everyone present's hands go up in the air. Violinist Edmond Fokker from Crayenstein closed the evening with a beautiful performance.

A total of 7500 guests were welcomed to 'the beach' this summer. 2000 kilos of firewood were under the grill where 500 lobsters and 2000 prawns were prepared. Next year's theme was announced through a small souvenir towards the end of the evening, namely 'The Carribean'.
