Stars on the field and board: Royal Lounge of Polo Club Wassenaar opens its doors
A stylish Sunday for those who enjoy combining taste and sport. Expect a four-course lunch by a Michelin-starred chef during the Tulips Polo Trophy at Polo Club Wassenaar.
A stylish Sunday ahead for those who like to merge taste and sport. Think: a four-course lunch from a Michelin chef, galloping polo horses and a network to die for. On 18 May, the exclusive Royal Lounge of Polo Club Wassenaar will open its doors.
While the horses gallop past in the field, you can enjoy a culinary lunch in the peace of the Royal Lounge, prepared by Dennis Huwaë – chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant Daalder. Anyone who sat down at MASTERS EXPO in Restaurant M* last December will undoubtedly recognize him: there he cooked side by side with the most famous star chefs in the Netherlands. Now he is once again putting his signature on a special setting, this time with a view of the polo field. Expect a four-course menu with carefully selected wines.
Royal family
The matches themselves are anything but decorative. Between courses, the playing field becomes the stage for exciting duels between strong teams from home and abroad. Fast, strategic and surprisingly captivating – even for those who are not yet fully versed in polo etiquette.
At least as fascinating as the game on the field is the company along the sidelines. Think of entrepreneurs, creatives, investors, brand builders, family businesses and even the royal family.
