This Saturday, October 29, the first edition of HIT IT takes place at Ahoy Rotterdam.
This Saturday, October 29, the first edition of HIT IT will take place in Ahoy Rotterdam. A brand new sports and entertainment event. An evening-filling program packed with spectacular music and dance shows, (kick)boxing competitions and performances by celebrity guests who transform the ring and stage into one stage. Including world heavyweight kickboxing champion Rico Verhoeven and Hesdy Gerges. The English Eurovision Song Contest revelation Sam Ryder, Kris Kross Amsterdam and Emma Heesters will perform, interspersed with spectacular dance shows by creative director Timor Steffens and his ensemble of dancers.
An iconic duo
The livestream will include live commentary by an iconic and expert duo. Koert Westerman, with his years of experience as a sports commentator in football, darts and boxing, is the perfect person for Hit It. He is no stranger to a cheerful note. An expert's view on the whole will be provided by kickboxing legend Ernesto Hoost. Ernesto was mainly known for winning many kickboxing titles, including the K1 Grand Prix in Tokyo four times. Hesdy: “This is my last fight and I'm going all in. I don't have to worry about winning or losing. Rico is not going to get it as a gift.”
Young people
The minimum age has been lowered to 12, which means that young people can attend Rico's fight for the first time: “In recent months we have received many requests from parents and young people themselves whether they could attend the event. After consultation with everyone involved, we came to the conclusion that this actually had to happen. My fan base consists of many young people, Hesdy works with young people and all the artists who perform also have a lot of young fans, so we made the decision and hope to make many young people happy," says Verhoeven.
Entertainment
The show is presented by singer EliZe and comedian Jandino Asporaat. In addition to the above artists, the entertainment is supplemented by the spectacular Romy Monteiro and Rico Greene. They do this under the guidance of choreographer and creative director Timor Steffens. In addition, visitors are entertained with kiss-cams, Ring Speaker Gerard Ekdom and with their entrance ticket they have a chance to win special prizes throughout the evening that will be raffled among the audience. In short, a full evening program packed with sensational sports and entertainment.
