Space Perspective ensures that a balloon flight is literally taken to a higher level. The start-up previously presented the design of its space lounge Neptune. Recently also the toilet: meet the world's first Space Spa…
Thanks to a huge balloon, the Neptune can take its passengers to a height of 30 kilometers. In the capsule you can enjoy a cocktail at a great height. The space lounge has a bar, comfortable chairs, mood lighting, panoramic windows and even WiFi. So you will not lack anything.
A nice bonus is that the Space Perspective experience is designed to reduce its impact on the environment. Instead of large rocket engines, the Neptune use of the balloon's buoyancy. During the descent, just enough gas is released to maintain a comfortable descent speed. This way, a trip to space is almost emission-free. The flight will last six hours in total. And yes, during a six-hour trip you may of course need to use the toilet.
Despite the limited space, Space Perspective has ensured that this can also be done in style. The start-up recently released photos of the Space Spa. The toilet is complete with plants, soft chairs and WiFi.
Otherworldly view
According to lead designer Isabella Trani, the space was primarily intended to be a tranquil retreat. Explorers will find the environment comfortable and comforting, with no sharp elements, adding to the overall atmosphere. At a practical level, attention has been paid to easy cleaning, with easily washable surfaces. And the view? A visit to the toilet with a view of the Earth will probably not be easily surpassed.
Space Perspective expects to begin commercial flights by the end of 2024. You have to pay around €115.000 for a ticket.
