Louis Vuitton's Artistic Director of Women's Collections, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Men's Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, have teamed up to give you yet another reason to sleep well—and open your wallet. The pair have given the fashion house's original 1868 bed trunk a modern makeover, literally taking beauty sleep to the next level.

Specially designed for adventurous travelers and design lovers, the Bed Trunk is a perfect mix of Louis Vuitton craftsmanship and a good dose of innovation. Georges, the son of Louis Vuitton, designed this handy trunk for explorers in 1868. The design was patented in 1885 and quickly became popular with travelers, adventurers and nomads. Even the military version found its way to officers during wars.

The French fashion house recently revived the bed trunk, this time with a more modern look. The design by Nicolas Ghesquière is reminiscent of his Cruise 2023 collection, while the inside offers a romantic surprise: a mattress with a soft floral pattern, inspired by his spring/summer 2018 collection. The mix of clean lines and dreamy details create a unique balance.

Pharrell Williams gave the Bed Trunk a bold twist, inspired by classic designs from the past. His creation combines bright red and white stripes on the inside with distressed stripes on the outside, a subtle nod to the 1872 canvas. The “LV” logo adorns the jacquard mattress and pillows, while black aluminum details contrast with the light wood.

And how much does this piece of comfort for on the road cost? The Ghesquière edition goes over the counter for around €242.000. For Pharrell's version you pay €208.000.
