Graham Budd Auctions will be auctioning a treasure trove of football history on 1 and 2 October. The showpiece is Vivian Anderson’s debut shirt from 1978, a long-sleeved red-white-and-blue shirt that is being offered for sale for the first time in history. The item, worn during the England match, is estimated to be worth between €34.000 and €57.000.

“Now it's time to sell some of the wonderful memories of my time as a professional footballer”

“All I’ve ever wanted to do is play football,” Anderson said in a statement. “I’ve worked hard, had a great career and I’m glad I’ve been able to inspire people. Now it’s time to sell some of the wonderful memories from my time as a professional footballer. I hope my family can benefit from this and that some of the items can be shared around the world for people to enjoy.”

But also items from David Beckham are among the top items of the auction. Think of his red and black No. 32 shirt that he wore during the match AC Milan against Inter Milan in 2010, with an expected yield of € 3.978. Then there is the shirt that Beckham was wearing when he missed the infamous penalty in the semi-final of UEFA Euro 2004; a painful moment that is now offered as a unique collector's item. For the Maradona fans there are various match kits from his time at Puma.
