Record: most expensive scoop of ice cream
Caviar ice cream, cheese ice cream or even cheeseburger ice cream: there are already many special ice cream flavors. However, a Japanese ice cream brand created a very special variant. Made from rare ingredients is the so-called Byakuya from now on the most expensiveth ice cream in the world.
The taste was worked on for no less than a year and a half. Ultimately it resulted in Byakuya, which means white night. Cellato's ice cream makers used ingredients such as white truffle from Alba in Italy - the rarest type of truffle -, Parmigiano Reggiano - Parmesan cheese -, sweet sake kasu - a remnant of the sake brewing process and a little gold leaf.
A scoop of the golden ice cream costs €5890. With this, the company sets a record; This makes it officially the most expensive ice cream in the world. The price does include a specially designed spoon. This was designed by the Kazarikanagu Takeuchi company. They specialize in making ornaments for temples, among others.

According to gourmets, the Cellato ice cream is rich in taste and texture: ''The smell of white truffle fills your nose, followed by the complex and fruity taste of Parmigiano Reggiano. The sake kasu completes the glorious taste experience''.
In their own words, the makers of Byakuya not only wanted to set a record, but also wanted to bring European and Japanese ingredients together. More interesting ice cream flavors are planned. The company is now working on a variant with champagne and caviar.
