Land Rover Defender: old love does rust

The new Land Rover Defender is transformed by Heritage Customs into a weathered version of itself, giving the vehicle a completely new appearance.

'Old love never dies' doesn't quite apply to the new one Land Rover Defender. The Defender is made by car customizer Heritage Customs, run by Niels van Roij (former Master) and Jan-Pieter Kroezen, transformed into a rusty version of itself, bringing a tough, raw version of the Land Rover Defender to the streets. The Dutch company Heritage Customs has transformed the classic Land Rover Defender into a rusty version, giving the car a completely new and cool look. In addition to the new custom-made rims, the reborn SUV has matching brown leather and a carbon fiber inlay interior. Even though the vehicle gives the impression that it has been standing unused in the rain for years, it has just rolled off the production line. Photo: Niels van Roij Design The car-chitecture studio has placed rusted metal teardrop places on the hood and side grilles using a unique metal bonding technology. This technology allows Heritage Customs to paint all types of metal on all interior and exterior surfaces of various models of the Defender, which are based on the new and the classic version. After application, the material can be brushed, polished, sanded and oxidized (rusted), making each version almost unique and allowing a custom-made Defender to roll onto the parking lot.
