Dine beneath the grapevines, lunch among the asparagus fields or gather around a campfire in the polder. Discover the best pop-up outdoor restaurants of 2025, where seasonal produce, fire and fine wine come together.

Dining under the grapevines, lunching between the asparagus fields or sitting by a campfire in the polder – the pop-up restaurant season has started again. Temporary outdoor restaurants are popping up all over the country, each with their own atmosphere, taste and story. These are the places where you really want to get a table this summer.

Bohemia

This summer, Bohiem will rise between the flower fields of the Flevopolder: a pop-up outdoor restaurant where fire, nature and gastronomy come together. A place where cooking is done outdoors as it used to be: with fire, smoke, clay and patience. The chefs use old techniques such as pit cooking and fermenting, and work mainly with ingredients that are available at that time – often from their own garden or from local farmers.

Asparagus in the field

If you love asparagus, you've come to the right place. Asparagus in the field is a pop-up restaurant in the middle of the asparagus fields, where the vegetable appears on the plate in all shapes and flavors. From a classic preparation to surprising creations by top chefs – it's all about the white gold here.

This culinary event has been a fixture in Brabant for eight editions. In 2025, you can join us at two locations: from 8 May to 1 June in Cromvoirt and from 6 to 22 June in Prinsenbeek.

Fruit de Mer in the Vineyard

Just a few minutes from Amsterdam lies a surprising oasis: a vineyard in Amstelveen. Between the vines, under parasols and at linen-covered tables, you can enjoy an extensive Fruit de Mer lunch. Oysters, langoustines, mussels, bisque and freshly baked baguette are served with a bottle of wine - produced right where you are sitting.

The pop-up restaurant will once again be settling between the grape bunches this year. No long lines or crowds, but an intimate atmosphere with a limited number of tables. The afternoon starts with an aperitif, followed by a generous platter full of seafood and ends with a dessert. Everything is part of an all-in lunch arrangement.

Wine restaurant on the land

Between the hills of South Limburg, on the Raar Saint Remi wine estate in Meerssen, you will find Wijnrestaurant op het Land. Here you can enjoy an extensive lunch or dinner, surrounded by vines and accompanied by carefully selected wines from the region.

The menu – both in carnivore and vegetarian variants – changes with the seasons and is prepared with regional ingredients. Everything revolves around balance between taste, experience and sustainability: the grapes are picked by hand and the wine production is done with solar energy.
