Smooth out your best evening wear and give your favourite heels or loafers a shine, because Amsterdam can add a range of new hotspots to its repertoire. From atmospheric cocktail bars to exclusive boutique clubs: these are the places where your evening is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

MEWE

If you really want to party, but with a touch of style, then MEWE is the place to be. Located on the Korte Leidsedwarsstraat, this boutique club combines fine dining with a vibrant nightlife. Behind the concept are experienced hospitality entrepreneurs Jeffrey van Alphen, Vladimir Orelio and Saïd Bardan, who wanted to create a unique experience with MEWE. Their shared experience and passion for nightlife have resulted in a club that is not just a location, but a feeling: a place where evenings flow seamlessly into night without compromising on comfort and class.

“We wanted to create a club that is not about mass, but about quality,” says Jeffrey. “A place where you can start the evening relaxed and continue with the same energy until the late hours. No loud crowds or chaotic dance floors, but an intimate setting where every detail is right.”

In addition, MEWE collaborates with renowned partners, including Louis Vuitton Moët-Hennessy, who are housing their first Dutch flagship store in the club.

MEWE receives guests on Thursday from 23pm to 00am, and Friday through Saturday from 03pm to 00am.

SHU

Last summer, SHU opened its doors in the heart of Amsterdam, and this cocktail club literally and figuratively adds some extra 'spiciness' to the nightlife. The name, an abbreviation of Scoville Heat Unit (the scale used to measure the spiciness of chili peppers), symbolizes the bit of heat that the founders feel the city lacks for the 25+ target group. SHU starts the evening as a chic cocktail bar, but from 21.00 p.m. the bar stools are pushed aside and the atmosphere slowly changes into an intimate, club-like setting. Extra special: on Fridays and Saturdays you can only get in if you are on the guest list. "We like a bit of mystery," says co-owner Stijn Jesse.

The siren 

The Siren, the newest hotspot on Rokin, brings a touch of Mediterranean sophistication and a good dose of mysticism to Amsterdam. The team behind Secret Garden – Roy and Mike Poppes and Michiel Dekker – have created a versatile meeting place with The Siren, where you can enjoy everything the good life has to offer, whether in the lounge, at the cocktail bar or in the private dining area. Live music, every Wednesday through Saturday, adds an extra dimension.

Bisous

What could be more chic than an evening in Parisian style? Bisous brings this elegance to Amsterdam, with an interior full of warm, romantic details and a cocktail menu that will catapult you to Montmartre. The menu features French classics to share, such as oysters and refined starters, accompanied by a carefully selected range of wines and bubbles.

Music is essential at Bisous. From 22.00:XNUMX onwards, DJs provide the perfect soundtrack every Thursday, Friday and Saturday to continue the evening in style…

Our Lady Gigi

La Nostra Gigi is an ode to 'Gigi', the most sparkling, beautiful, wildest and sweetest girl in the neighbourhood. Behind this atmospheric restaurant is hospitality entrepreneur Benjamin van Roekel, who created a unique interior together with top designer Will Erens. The result? A colourful, luxurious and playful atmosphere that takes you back to Italy in the 70s. 

At La Nostra Gigi, it's all about enjoyment and sharing. Chef Richard Way presents a menu full of surprising Italian specialties. Start your evening with a selection of antipasti or a classic carpaccio, and then have your spaghetti pecorino freshly prepared at the table. And of course, you end with a dolce: will it be a tiramisu or will you opt for a cocktail at the bar as a spicy finish?
