FASHION DESIGNER ILJA VISSER MAKES A COMEBACK

Fashion designer Ilja Visser is known for her distinctive couture collections. After a turbulent period marked by financial difficulties, she is now making her comeback with her first commercial line Suits & Softs by ILJA. The collection combines comfort with style and is sustainable, with each garment partly made from residual fabrics sourced from other fashion designers.

After a turbulent time, in which she encountered financial difficulties, she is now making her comeback with her first commercial line Suits & Softs by ILJA. A comfy maar stylish collection. New chapter

For Ilja this is a new start, Ilja 2.0. She says that building and marketing a brand in 2021 will be very different than before. So she has chosen the brand completely direct-to-consumer to market and sell only online. Ilja also wants to collaborate with influencers and artists. Of course, her new responsible collection is sustainable because it only uses residual materials. Remaining materials are very often destroyed, which is a shame! Ilja buys those fabrics and uses them to create her collections. In the context of sustainability, they only work on the basis of pre-order.

Especially for women

Ilja has been working on her new collection for two and a half years. She wanted to casual comfort with chic incorporate into her collection. She dedicates this collection to women. "Like many women, I wanted to do it all right – work, family, love, girlfriends, sports, everything. The last thing you want is to worry about your outfit in the morning. With this collection, I want to give women empowerment and offering the comfort of a look that always fits.” says Ilya. The collection includes two-piece suits. You can also wear the jacket or trousers alone and combine it with another item of clothing. It's a combination of suits and casual wear.
