Milan will once again be the epicentre of the fashion world this coming week. And while we in the Netherlands are still eagerly awaiting the first rays of sunshine, the major fashion houses are already thinking three seasons ahead. MASTERS was on the digital front row and spotted the trends that you should not miss this autumn and winter.
From the catwalks of Gucci and Diesel, it’s clear: gorpcore is here to stay. Gor… what? Gorpcore is a style inspired by technical outdoor clothing – think waterproof jackets, trekking pants and hiking boots. Originally intended for adventurers, the fashion world has now embraced it. In 2025, the trend gets a chic upgrade: functional pieces are paired with dress trousers and metallic tops. Ideal for those who want to hit the streets prepared, without sacrificing elegance.
This year's color?
Gucci puts dark green – a deep mix of khaki and moss green – on the map as the trend color for 2025. On the runway, this rich hue was surprisingly combined with pastel colors such as baby blue and butter yellow, but also with bright orange and chic gray tones.
In addition, the Italian fashion house paid tribute to the past with a collection full of tight Italian suits, structured mini dresses and voluminous faux fur coats. The influences from the sixties and nineties are clearly present, but are given a modern twist that fits in with the fashion image of today.
One of the most striking trends on the catwalks? The combination of silk scarves with baseball caps. Inspired by style icons like Audrey Hepburn and recently embraced by Hailey Bieber.

The iconic Gucci Horsebit element is celebrating its 70th anniversary and has been celebrated on the runway in a big way. From waist chains and bag embellishments to a shoulder bag handle, this classic detail is being worn in a variety of ways in 2025.
Fashion houses like Diesel and Dsquared2 went all out with bold themes. Diesel channeled a post-apocalyptic vibe with reflective denim and futuristic fabrics, while Marni introduced sculptural fashion and playful floral prints.
