Michelin Guide: the culinary bible that maps the absolute top chefs and restaurants in the world. Henk Savelberg *

Master chef Henk Savelberg, who comes from Mechelen, has already earned several Michelin stars in the Netherlands. This also applies to his successful restaurant Savelberg in Voorburg. In 2014 he moved from The Hague to Bangkok due to the economic crisis and started a restaurant of the same name there. In Thailand he is listed as a newcomer and received a Michelin star for his 'new' restaurant. Savelberg already had a Michelin star with his previous restaurant in Bangkok, but moved to a new location last year, again with success.  Restaurant Savelberg can therefore proudly add one Michelin star to its name. Jim Ophorst *

31-year-old Jim Ophorst has his restaurant PRU in Phuket, Thailand, retains its Michelin star with its refined cuisine. In addition, Ophorst and his team also received a special star. In addition to a Michelin star, the chef has also been awarded the Green Michelin star: a sustainability award for restaurants and chefs who hold themselves accountable for their ethical and environmental standards. Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman *

With Blue Sky Restaurant Kokmeijer (r) and Speelman (l) have already received a lot of praise in our country at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. They also know how to score across the border with their fantastic gastronomy. Restaurants Elements in Hotel Okura Bangkok won prizes again this year and was crowned with one Michelin star. From 2022, chef Gerard Villaret (m) start in the restaurant under their wings. The three of them will take the Thai capital to an even more culinary highlight.
