Messika gives Moderniste a new form
Even a successful formula benefits from subtle refinement now and then. Messika has given one of her best-known collections a sleeker line and greater refinement, while keeping the architectural signature perfectly intact. Curious to see what's new?
Anyone looking at Messika's renewed Moderniste collection will quickly see that architecture is more than a beautiful reference here. The collection draws inspiration from modernism. Think of the clean lines of Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray, but also the restrained architecture of Tadao Ando and the sculptural power of Bernar Venet.
Valérie Messika translates these ideas into gold and diamond. Moderniste revolves around a recognizable hexagonal form, built from precise proportions and sharp facets. Gold takes on a distinctly leading role. Alternating between polished and brushed finishes, the material catches light in different ways each time, while diamonds provide just enough sparkle.
Slimmer, yet still striking
For the latest version, Messika has refined the proportions of Moderniste. The jewels have become slimmer, making them easier to combine and stack. This gives one of the house's successful collections a slightly lighter appearance, without abandoning the graphic signature that sets Moderniste apart.

Two faces
For the latest campaign, the brand collaborates once again with creative director Ezra Petronio. This time, Julianne Moore and Irina Shayk take center stage. Two completely different personalities, exactly as Messika sees it: femininity need not fit into one neat box.
From Paris to P.C. Hooftstraat
Messika is also gaining more space closer to home. GASSAN and the French jewelry house will open the very first Messika boutique in the Netherlands at the end of 2026. The store will be located on P.C. Hooftstraat, making it the fourth GASSAN location on this street. Prefer to see Moderniste in person first? The collection is already on display at GASSAN.
