Merida Benelux: ambition, high-end technology and victory

European champion, 22 world tour stage wins, 3 national titles and winner of Paris-Roubaix… The big similarity between these titles? They were all won on the bikes of MASTERS EXPO exhibitor Merida Benelux by the Bahrain-Victorious team. Such kind of performance demands not only everything from the riders, but also everything from the equipment. What a picture

The same cream of the crop can be seen at MASTERS EXPO. The 2022 Scultura Team will be shown to the public here for the first time. This is equipped with the latest high-end Shimano Dura-Ace 2×12 speed drive train. The parts are mounted on the newly introduced lightweight frame, which means that no cables are visible and the aerodynamics have been further optimized. The complete bike weighs only 6.8 kilos in this set-up with disc brakes. Paris-Roubaix, also known as the 'Hell of the North', was won this year by Sonny Colbrelli. After 257 kilometers of suffering in harsh conditions, he managed to win the title in a heroic final effort. Perhaps most striking of all was that Colbrelli rode a standard Merida Reacto Team. The bike on which he achieved this victory will be shown to the public exclusively at MASTERS EXPO in November. The bicycle is then in completely original condition, as ridden in the competition.

When it comes to the latest technological developments, this is not just limited to racing bicycles. The latest electric mountain bikes are also present at the Merida stand at MASTERS EXPO. Here too, only the best is good enough. Masterful. A fully integrated 630Wh battery, a Shimano EP8 motor with no less than 85NM torque and all this is assembled on a full carbon frame. It is not without reason that the eOne-Sixty and eOne-Forty have been seen as the Benchmark for years when it comes to E-Mountain bikes.
