Martin Verheijden founded Personal Care Concepts in 1991. He is the producer of skin and hair care products. PCC develops and produces cosmetic products for various major brands. He is also the owner of DutchDisinfection. Text: Larissa Schaule Jullens

The PCC process

“Personal Care concepts specializes in developing and producing skin and hair care products. Some customers have a fully developed wish, others the start of a concept. We guide you every step of the way. This is possible because we have everything under one roof. For concept development, you sit down with our account managers, our brand builder and graphic designer. Our own laboratory converts every wish into a recipe and sampling that the customer can assess for himself. The mixing plant has various sized boilers for small and very large productions. Various filling lines for tubes, jars, packaging, etc. operate at several locations. Everything finds its way via the warehouse directly to the customer or on demand. We can therefore support a customer at every stage. From idea to a final product.”

Something new

“I actually have two pieces of news. We are growing explosively. We currently have three branches in Heerhugowaard. We are at an advanced stage of building a new factory in Alkmaar next year. A factory that meets all requirements for the future. In addition, we work according to the strict requirements of ISOGMP and always disinfect everything. The disinfection dispensers that are available on the market are barely adequate, they are fairly simple devices. That is why we started developing our own disinfection dispenser with KPN in March - when corona started - that meets all the requirements that apply in today's society. An intelligent, extremely strong device that can always be monitored by connecting to the internet via an online dashboard. How much is left in it, how many people are using it, when do I need to refill, when do I need to order new stock. This week we are launching this device on the market.”

“I became a member two years ago and I have visited the fair many times before. Our brands were also at the fair, so we came into contact with them. We got to know people and then we ended up having an afternoon on the Amstel. That was amazing. We met a lot of different people and then we decided to become members too.”
