Since 1956

The German company BABOR Cosmetics invents, develops and produces its entire range itself. The brand is sold in more than 70 countries, and BABOR has 600 employees. Innovation and sustainability are of paramount importance and thanks to its own production, BABOR Cosmetics can determine for itself what is brought to the market. “Sustainability is a continuous process. We have our own 'green agenda', and everything is run from the global, CO2 neutral headquarters in Aachen. While a few years ago it was not sexy at all to talk about sustainable cosmetic products, it is now indispensable. More and more thought is being given to every product that is put on the market, such as recycled paper and not using plastic. One of our very first products developed by founder Dr. Michael BABOR, is our HY-ÖL: a product that cleanses the skin with natural oils. That was almost 65 years ago. We were already launching a natural product on the market.”

50 million ampoules

“In addition to HY-ÖL, we have been the largest manufacturer-supplier of ampoules for 50 years: 50 million are sold every year. There is also a special line for men. This month, the sustainable BABOR SPA line was relaunched: a soothing and... Next Level body care line. Next month will be all about the relaunch of the new make-up line. We have a world premiere, because we combine the power of the caring effect of the ampoules and we have incorporated this into our new foundations.
BABOR is only sold by beauticians or certified online web shops. If you want advice about the products, you can go to a BABOR salon and there you will receive advice and a corresponding treatment plan. BABOR originated in professional skincare, and that is where we will always remain.”
