Madonna's new home

The queen of pop is back: after years of bouncing between New York, The Hamptons and Lisbon, Madonna has decided to buy a multi-million dollar villa in Los Angeles from fellow artist The Weeknd. And that for just under 19 million euros. MASTERS peeks in…Text: Mical Joseph
Image: Realtor.comThe Weeknd bought the brand new mansion about four years ago for 18 million euros and initially put it on the market for a rather optimistic asking price of 23,5 million euros. In the end the two reached an agreement and Madonna can count herself rich with her new acquisition. With nine bedrooms, nine full and two half bathrooms spread over approximately 1150 square feet, there is plenty of space to offer its guests a nice place for overnight stays. Or for assistants, nannies, bodyguards and security guards…

Madonna's new neighbors in Hidden Hills include rapper Lil Wayne, who just spent $15 million on an old Hidden Hills parsonage, artist Drake, Dwayne Wade, actress Lori Loughlin and several members of the Kardashians. In short: a colorful group.

Although Madonna still celebrated Easter in The Hamptons, the pop star already returned to the City of Angels. Her decision to stay may have something to do with that biography of her life that she is directing. The first bedroom has its own wing on the second floor and features a fireplace in a polished stone wall and between LED-lit planks. The bedroom also has a private balcony with a view over the backyard. The bedroom also has a bath and two walk-in closets. The colossal kitchen is full of top-quality technical features and has not just one, but two enormous islands. Adjacent to the kitchen is a breakfast nook and a huge family room. Between the main house and the patio (complete with fireplace and outdoor kitchen) is a neat lawn, a pool and a spa.

The villa in the City of Angels is of course not her only one. In the Upper East Side in New York she owns a triple mansion worth 30 million euros, in The Hamptons a horse farm and in Lisbon, Portugal, Madonna bought an 3,5th century Moorish mansion 18 years ago.
