This week, the long-awaited sneaker collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Nike was released to the public.

This week saw the long-awaited sneaker collab from Louis Vuitton and Nike released to the public. Congratulations to the lucky ones who got their hands on a pair from the collection; The sneakers are now being sold for record amounts on resell websites...

The edition of this collection is extra special because it was designed by the late Virgil Abloh. The collection was even one of the last projects before the designer died. In May, the French fashion house opened an extensive exhibition spotlighting Abloh's 47 versions of the Air Force 1, equipped with the Checkerboard print the Louis Vuitton logo.

A total of nine different new versions of Nike AF1 x Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh will be released this drop. There is, among other things, a white, black and gold pair. It was initially thought that the shoes would be offered exclusively to VIP customers, but to everyone's surprise the collection simply appeared online on the Louis Vuitton website. Small downer; on the date of the release, the website was unavailable for almost the entire day due to the crowds.

Exclusive sneaker

The shoes from the collection are priced between €2.000 and €2.500. That makes this Louis Vuitton version of the Air Force 1 one of the most exclusive sneakers of the moment. But the resell The sneaker's prices are even higher, with some pairs being resold for 400 percent higher than the original price. There is even a pair from the collection on the resell website Stockx for € 17.000... However, for real collectors, no price is too much for a shoe that is part of a special piece of sneaker history.
