Longines refines a classic: the new HydroConquest 2026

A dive watch that disappears under a cuff just as effortlessly as under the waves? Longines seems to have reinvented it. The brand unveils its latest creation: the HydroConquest 2026. What exactly has changed?

With the HydroConquest 2026, Longines introduces a further evolution of its renowned dive watch. The collection remains true to the original concept but has been refined in several respects. Both the design and the technical features have been adapted to modern requirements, without abandoning the character of the line.

The HydroConquest is still clearly recognizable as a sports watch, but looks slightly more balanced in this generation. The case is available in 39 mm and 42 mm, with which Longines focuses on wearability for various wrist sizes. 

The dials are finished in blue, black, and green, complemented by a frost blue variant that gains more depth due to its texture. Combined with ceramic bezels in black, blue, green, and slate grey, among others, a wide range of finishes is created without the design becoming cluttered.

Ready for the depth

Inside lies the Longines calibre L888.5, an automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 72 hours. Notable is the increased resistance to magnetic fields, thanks to the use of a silicon balance spring. With this, Longines addresses an increasingly relevant aspect of modern watches. 

The water resistance is 300 meters, in line with what you would expect from a dive watch in this segment. The unidirectional bezel and screw-down crown also contribute to the functional reliability.

New look, same character

New to the collection is the option for a Milanese mesh strap. This gives the watch a slightly more refined look, without compromising its sporty character. In addition, the classic steel link bracelet remains available, featuring a finely adjustable clasp. 

Small changes are also visible in the details, such as the finished cabinet back with a subtle engraving. These are adjustments that are not immediately noticeable, but do contribute to the overall impression.
