It designed a prototype for an air taxi that has since made a successful maiden flight. The Lilium Aircraft can take off and land vertically, has no propellers and does not use energy-guzzling drone technology. It is powered by 36 electric motors, reaches a maximum speed of 300 km/h and has a range of 300 kilometers. The first prototype had room for two passengers, but it has now been further developed and can accommodate five passengers. Lilium is in discussions with a number of cities worldwide to commercially deploy the project.
