Gladden Private Island | Belize 

in the middle of the Belize Barrier Reef, lined with coral and white sand, lies the private island of Gladden. The retreat includes an elegant villa designed for two people. However, a second master suite is available if you decide to invite additional family members or friends. According to the organization, the staff is - emphatically - unseen on a nearby island. Ready to respond to any guest request at a moment's notice. To spend the night on the island you pay €3600 per night for two people. If you stay for at least seven days, this includes a transfer by helicopter from the airport.  

L'Hacienda | Bahamas 

The Exumas is a district of the Bahamas and is an archipelago consisting of about 365 islands. This also includes the L'Hacienda refuge. This place is rarely advertised and is therefore relatively unknown. L'Hacienda features six white sandy beaches, several Spanish-style villas, a billiards table, a theater for 16 people and its own marina. There is also an infinity pool for those who don't like azure blue sea water... You can stay on the island with a total of 16 people. The rate for a night in this private spot amounts to approximately € 26.000 per 8 guests. 

Yonder Cay | Bahamas

A few years ago, this private island in the middle of The Exumas was nothing more than a remote island for fishermen. Currently, it has been transformed into a unique, eco-friendly retreat for those seeking sustainable luxury. The island is powered by a modern sustainable energy system, including three wind turbines and a 1.5 hectare field of solar panels. There are four villas on the island that can accommodate a total of 30 guests. The accommodations are all equipped with an infinity pool, jacuzzi, private beach and television. To spend the night on this island you pay approximately € 47.000. This includes the use of the wide range of facilities. 

Necker Island | British Virginislands

This private, paradise island owned by Richard Branson is located in the middle of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. After the refuge was destroyed by a cyclone several years ago, Branson restored the island to its former glory. Set within 74 hectares of land is a Balinese-style villa with a total of 10 bedrooms, two tennis courts, a spa, two infinity pools, a swim-up bar and a hot tub. A stay includes a private chef and 100 staff. The entire island can be rented for approximately €123.000 per night. For this amount you can invite up to 40 friends, which may be useful to cover part of the costs... 

 COMO Laucala Island | Fiji 

COMO is one of the world's largest Private Island resorts. It even has its own runway. Yet this place contains 'only' 25 villas. The island offers a wide range of extraordinary activities that you would not expect at a similar location. There is the option of a boat trip at the sunset, a horseback ride on the beach or a real farm tour. The 25 villas can accommodate 70 guests. A night at COMO Laucala will cost you around €211.000.
