Restaurant Nela recently opened its doors in Valley on the Zuidas in Amsterdam. Behind the new hospitality formula are internationally renowned chefs Hari Shetty and Ori Geller. Nela means pure and precise, and that is exactly what both chefs want to reflect in their restaurant in all areas: from gastronomy with honest ingredients to the design of natural materials.

The menu reflects seasonal ingredients that come to life through the fire and modern cooking techniques. “We specifically chose live fire cooking because this craftsmanship guarantees the integrity of the ingredients,” say Hari and Ori. The high temperatures quickly sear ingredients, resulting in little moisture loss, resulting in the preservation of structure, taste and presentation. The shared dining principle aims to ensure that everyone feels welcome. “The dishes that will be ordered most often will form the heart of the menu.” In addition, the chefs will of course continue to surprise with new dishes. Wine lovers can browse through the extensive wine list with unique wines from all over the world. From the spacious cocktail bar, classic and surprising cocktail creations are prepared with the same principle of purity.

Restaurant Nela is an oasis of light with natural colors and materials such as wool, wood, metal and stone. Studio Framework was responsible for the design and local talent provided the decoration in the form of objects and art that range from handmade ceramics to an impressive wool tapestry. Because of all these unique elements, every place is an experience. At the entrance, the first thing you notice is the open kitchen with the fire burning from the wood grill and oven. Lovers of this culinary spectacle can take a seat at the Chef's Counter, for wine connoisseurs it is advisable to take a seat at the custom-made wine climate cabinet and when the weather is nice it is nice to relax on the terrace with a unique view above the treetops. In short: you can eat here five times a week and have a different experience every time.
